Free Flight Research Lab (FFRL) is a Non-Profit Research Institute for positive global impact through applications of technology to advance climate science & forecasting; conservation & preservation; aerodynamics, human factors & free flight safety.

Free Flight Research Lab started in 2016 out of the Artist in Residence Program at Autodesk Pier 9. FFRL is a passion project from Michael Vergalla, who has a goal of creating positive global impact through considerate applications of technology for research.
